Lymphatic Drainage and Body Tools
WHAT IS LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE?
Lymphatic drainage is a massage technique that works on the lymphatic system to stimulate the movement of lymph to your lymph nodes (located throughout the body but mainly located in your neck, armpits and groin). This gentle massage will encourage and accelerate the process of removing excess fluid and toxins from the body.
BENEFITS OF LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE:
- Stimulate circulation and exfoliate skin
- Improve immune system by aiding with lymphatic drainage and eliminating toxins from the body
- Tone, sculpt and smooth skin to reduce the appearance of cellulite
- Provides both body and mental relaxation
- Reduce swelling and water retention
- Energize and invigorate the body leaving you with an overall sense of wellbeing
HOW TO USE OUR BODY TOOLS FOR LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE:
Start with our dry body brush pre-shower to trigger the lymph to start draining.
On dry skin, start at your feet and brush upward toward the heart using gentle long strokes in an upwards or circular motion. Repeat up the arms starting at the hands. For the stomach area work in a clockwise direction. Repeat strokes 3-6 times on each section of the body.
Do not use on the face or irritated skin and use very gently on the neck and chest area.
For optimal results follow with up our Body Gua Sha tool post-shower to continue stimulating circulation and moving the lymph. Again the goal is to move the lymph towards the heart so that your body can properly flush out excess fluid and toxins. Start by applying a body oil or lotion for slip and start at your ankles moving up the legs using medium to firm pressure. Repeat up the arms from wrist to underarms and shoulders. Finish by moving in downward strokes down the torso to eliminate excess fluid and toxins from the body. Repeat strokes 4-8 times on each section of the body. The comb and wavy edge are designed to help smooth skin and break up fascia - especially great for thighs and cellulite prone areas.
